We are mobile and Driving Miss Mommy!!

After much debate, consideration, and the fact I am getting a little stir crazy being at home, I finally made the purchase of a stroller to haul the boys around.  One could not believe how hard it is to buy a stroller for twins...do you get a jogger, go with a heavy tandem, get something to haul 3 little ones?!?!  I settled with the "snap and go" stroller due to it being light weight and I won't have to take the boys out of their car seats to transport.  While this is a just a temporary solution as we will need to get a different double stroller down the road, it buys me sometime to find the right double stroller solution for us (I am open to suggestions!!)

Leighton in the past couple weeks has taken an extreme interest in "driving".  Her "driving" Mommy and the boys around can keep her occupied for at least 30 minutes...doesn't hurt to start them young right?!?!?

Is there anything behind me?!?!

Can't you see I am driving?

Yep, I am pretty cool!!

One Week Down...

We have all survived our first full week at home!!  The boys are taking after their big sister and being very good and for the most part easy babies!  Bedtime is a struggle for us...it seems as though putting Leighton down, babies need to be feed or being fussy occurs all at the same, no matter how I try to plan it out!  The boys are a bit fussy to go down at night, but are sound sleepers once they get settled.  I am getting adequate sleep -- about 2 hours in between feedings -- which I am amazingly functioning on well!  Trust me -- I am counting down the days till I can let them sleep through the night -- or just one night feeding!!

Leighton gets more comfortable with idea of "brothers" each day and they are now the first thing she asks about when she wakes up in the morning...sorry Blue Clues it seems as though you now rank 2nd best!

The boys are growing and already changing in looks, we have their two week appointment next week.  Here is a photo recap of the boys' first week at home!

It has been a busy few weeks for us...and I am finally getting to a point where I am having some "free" time to be more dedicated to this blog! The boys are being complete angels...pretty easy babies so far!  Leighton warms up to them more and more each day.  We are all adjusting pretty well to our new additions!  More pictures will follow this weekend!!

We had a GREAT two weeks with Daddy being home and was by far the most difficult to see him go. :-(
July can't come fast enough for us!

Let the fun ...

After a disappointing dr appt last week, finding out I am not dilated at all, they won't induce for yet another week, and to top it off I am carrying near 14lbs of baby. It seemed as though there was no end in sight. That Randy may have wasted a trip home without a chance of seeing his boys.

What a difference a week makes!!! My dr appt of yesterday was a quick phone call to the hospital to get this show on the road to my relief!!  I really couldn't be pregnant one more day!

So here I sit at the hospital getting out a quick blog before the boys get here.  We "checked in" around 8:30 last night to what Randy and I both thought would be a very long night!!  Surprisingly, it went by just as fast as any other night for me these past couple of weeks...Randy slept like a log of course!

It is now 7:00 am...the dr just broke my water and I am dilated to 3cm...so let the fun begin!!

38 weeks...last preggers picture!!!

Daddy's Home!!

After what seemed to be the looooonnnngggeest week ever...me getting more and more pregnant each day, a sick little one to take care, and to top it off getting the house ready for Daddy so while he knows we live like pigs most days and at least it wouldn't be the first thing he saw when he walked thru the door!

My dr appt for the week was very uneventful, probably not even worth typing to say it was uneventful!  But it appears that the boys will be holding out till their Daddy's arrival to make their debut into the family!

Leighton came down with the croup early mid week and then ear infection...YUCK!  Two trips to the dr, fun stuff for us...not really as the second they say Leighton's name she bursts out in screams and tries to run away. Smart girl as she knows nothing good is coming from behind door number 1!

We are very thankful that Nana took a couple days off to help us and get Leighton on the mend before Daddy got home!! We don't know how we would of survived the week without her!

Randy got out on time and back into the States according to schedule.  We picked him up at the airport on Sunday.  Leighton played somewhat unphased/shy when he got in the car, but she was in her "Elmo Zone" at the time!  As soon as we got home...it was a different story....
