We are ONE!!!
One would of thought with my full 7 day "mommy-vacation" I would of been a blogging fool...sorry for all of you who visited last week and were disappointed. Last week...was....GREAT! I think everyone in this household need a little break from each other. Hence it took me till about Saturday to really start to miss the kids (sorry animals, Mommy does love you though) The week was full of cleaning, trip to Minnesota (for work, but a stop at IKEA was made!), Mommy and Daddy got to go out on dates, and we socialized with friends sans kids and kids settings...it was like a time wrap to the "good ole days".
Switching to the main topic of this post...not so long along...well geez like a month ago now ...we celebrate a BIG BIRTHDAY...the BOYS turned 1!! You are not alone if you thought the last year just flew by...it did for us too! I am still in a bit of disbelief my babies aren't baby babies anymore.
We had a fabulous party for our little "monsters"!
Our 1 year stats--
Ryan--Little Bubbie as Mommy calls him, Swiper is what Leighton refers to him as -- most days ends up being Mommy's favorite, if she had to have one, he is so laid back and just takes it all in, rarely fusses...just goes with the flow. He is always on the go. His laugh can make anyone giggle. I have thought about taping and it and trying to sell it, it is just that perfect. He likes to take things when you aren't looking...his favorite target is usually Leighton's cup or Grant's bottle. He is starting to try to repeat words what we say to him and like to sing "la la la" after someone sings it to him.
Weight -- 17lb 13 oz; Height 29.1 inches
Grant--aka Bubba--he comes by that nickname honestly as he can't shove food in his mouth fast enough and eats about everything (except eggs and peaches). He is the persistent one and won't let up his cry until he gets his way (and trust me in the battle of wills he will always be the victor). He is little less busy than his brother but seems to be more of an aggressor (ask Sissy about his teeth and wrestling ability). He loves shaking his head "no" and LOVES his bottle (refer to persistence above).
Weight-- 20lbs 3 oz; Height 29.3 inches
As much as each boy is totally different they seem so much the same...the love to play/fight with each other, they adore Leighton and love to follow her and play with her, and they both still like to cuddle with Mommy (yay for mommy).
It been a busy year to say the least but well worth it!
