Yes, Leighton, there is an Easter Bunny!

The kids and I headed to the Coral Ridge Mall a couple of weekends ago to see the big EB (Easter Bunny).  As the mall is where we find the Easter Bunny or so I thought.  To our disappointment, the Easter Bunny does not live in the Coral Ridge Mall. (he is in malls in Des Moines, I checked)  Yes, I had a disappointed 3 year old little girl, but we found something even better than she told her Dad the second he walked into the door....THE EASTER COW!!  Thank you Chik-Fil-A!

LOOK LOOK, itsthe Easter Cow!!

This is as close as the boys got

Fast Forward to this weekend...Fairfield had its annual Easter Egg hunt...again to which I was pretty certain the Easter Bunny would be there.  We arrived early as I figured he would be in high demand, and low and behold, no Easter Bunny, great, Mommy doesn't have a handle on this holiday I guess!  3 minutes exactly to the start of the hunt this white rabbit appears to delightment of the Stanford kids.  They were the first ones in line!

The kids did a great job at the egg hunt.  Here is a link to about a handful of pictures of the kids from the hunt take by a local photographer for the paper.

We're not babies anymore!

Its happened...the Stanford home is baby free and being run by toddlers!  The boys turned 2!! on the 8th...where have the last 2 years gone right?!?!

These boys definitely define the word boy!  They are into everything, on top of everything, everything is in their mouths, throw their clothes off in a moments notice and just busy.  I don't know if I notice it more since there are two of them or what, but their sister at this age was never this busy or into things!

We've got rid of most everything baby...changing station gone (still in diapers, but hey, the floor works well, crib gone -- big boy bunk beds got here this week.  We aren't bunking them till they are older and do to the slanted ceilings in their room, but they seem to like their big boy beds!

Our boys at 2 years old...
Ryan -- the more laid back one of the two, I like to say he takes after me!  He has an infectious laugh and loves to giggle.  He's the little one of the two but that doesn't stop him.  He's fast and know he can squeeze thru about any spot.  He loves Mickey Mouse, outside and trains.  He LOVES to read his books.  He is the more vocal of the two...he speaks quite a bit of words/sentences and repeats about whatever you tell him too.  He's a picky eater, but will never turn down a cookie, broccoli or fruit!

Grant -- I tend to say he has to take after Randy... he's into everything, has a temper, loves to throw fits, pretty serious and has this ear piercing cry...I know I wasn't that way!  He likes to believe it is his way or no way. He LOVES to eat and proves as he has about 5lbs on his older brother. He will try anything (dirt, plastic, crayons included), but he doesn't like fruit or sweets (Randy and I still wonder where he gets that from), but he will eat an occasionally cookie. He too loves Mickey Mouse, outside and taking showers. He won't sit still long enough to be read to, but he does like to snuggle.  He doesn't talk as much as his brother but he is getting there.

It is amazing to see the bond these two little dudes have, at times it makes me want a twin, they are definitely each other's best friends and I hope it continues that way as the grow up.  They are the first to console each other, often at nights they are snuggled in each others bed, they there to aid each other in getting in trouble and following the others lead...but at the same time...they can turn on a dime on each other if they know it is very "bad".

Happy Birthday Bubbies!!
