Let the fun ...

After a disappointing dr appt last week, finding out I am not dilated at all, they won't induce for yet another week, and to top it off I am carrying near 14lbs of baby. It seemed as though there was no end in sight. That Randy may have wasted a trip home without a chance of seeing his boys.

What a difference a week makes!!! My dr appt of yesterday was a quick phone call to the hospital to get this show on the road to my relief!!  I really couldn't be pregnant one more day!

So here I sit at the hospital getting out a quick blog before the boys get here.  We "checked in" around 8:30 last night to what Randy and I both thought would be a very long night!!  Surprisingly, it went by just as fast as any other night for me these past couple of weeks...Randy slept like a log of course!

It is now 7:00 am...the dr just broke my water and I am dilated to 3cm...so let the fun begin!!

38 weeks...last preggers picture!!!

Daddy's Home!!

After what seemed to be the looooonnnngggeest week ever...me getting more and more pregnant each day, a sick little one to take care, and to top it off getting the house ready for Daddy so while he knows we live like pigs most days and at least it wouldn't be the first thing he saw when he walked thru the door!

My dr appt for the week was very uneventful, probably not even worth typing to say it was uneventful!  But it appears that the boys will be holding out till their Daddy's arrival to make their debut into the family!

Leighton came down with the croup early mid week and then ear infection...YUCK!  Two trips to the dr, fun stuff for us...not really as the second they say Leighton's name she bursts out in screams and tries to run away. Smart girl as she knows nothing good is coming from behind door number 1!

We are very thankful that Nana took a couple days off to help us and get Leighton on the mend before Daddy got home!! We don't know how we would of survived the week without her!

Randy got out on time and back into the States according to schedule.  We picked him up at the airport on Sunday.  Leighton played somewhat unphased/shy when he got in the car, but she was in her "Elmo Zone" at the time!  As soon as we got home...it was a different story....

The Final Countdown...

Its the Final Countdown at the Stanford Household...Randy is home in about week for his leave and the twins could technically be here any day!!  In preparation for the twins, Aunt Jean come to town this weekend to help me with Leighton, but more importantly, get the all the baby stuff ready for the boys to get here!  I really put her to work and the boys can now come knowing all their stuff is clean and Leighton approved for use for their arrival!!

We don't know what we would do without Aunt Jean and her nesting abilities..she cleaned, cooked and did it all this weekend...we THANK HER SOOO MUCH FOR COMING TO HELP US!!  (and to think, she did this to get a little break from her boys and considered it a get-away!)

Yep, this works!

Who's the Baby??

This past week brought another Dr appt for me and an ultrasound.  Everything is still going well and looking good!  I have come to the point where I am "done" and am just pretty much trying to hold out till Randy gets here...that said...if given the option to go earlier I am all in!!  The boys are both around 5lbs 11oz, give or take, a few ounces here or there!  It is amazing how fast the past 36 weeks have gone by...seems like yesterday we got our little surprising news!!
