A News Worthy Week

In was a big news week in more ways than on...our weekly news in review....
1. The world is now rid of Bin Laden--No, Randy didn't catch him and this really news really has no effect on Randy's role over in Afghanistan nor will he be home any sooner than planned.  They are in a heightened alert due to possible retaliation attacks surrounding this news, however, rest assured he is a safe as he can be.

2. The boys are starting to sleep thru the night!! Yep, 2 months has passed and we are very close to a solid night sleep for everyone at the Stanford household! Both boys in the past week are sleeping a solid 8 hours at night! We are still getting up around 5am, but Mommy will take what she can get! Even with gaining sleep, I am finding myself a bit more tired and am hopeful one day that I will be able to "sleep-in" to like 7!

3. Leighton is becoming more interested in going potty on the potty...this is a bittersweet moment...she is likes to go potty on her "Elmo Potty" before bed...really, no other time just before bed.  It would sure be nice to have her out of diapers, but at the same time it is nice to have her in diapers for the easiness of it. So, this Mommy, really isn't pushing the whole potty training issue at this time as frankly Mommy isn't ready to deal with it yet. Our goal is though to try to be potty trained by the time Daddy is home in August.

How many pairs of undies can I wear??

Walking in undies isn't easy!

 5.  Mommy went back to work!!  After 8 weeks of staying home with my little princes, I was ready to head back to the hustle and bustle of Corporate America (makes my job sound pretty cool huh).  I had every intention on taking 12 weeks of maternity leave, but there is only so much cleaning, Today show, Oprah and Ellen this girl can take.  I enjoyed every minute bounding with my boys (and Leighton), but, realize at this point in my life I enjoy working, going downtown, and most importantly interacting with adults.  There were no tears from either party my first day back, I take that as a sign we all were ready for Mommy to work again!
