As you can tell by the amount of photos, we had the camera out and were busy this weekend!
With it being "oppressive" as the weatherman put Saturday and Sunday, we busted out the pool (s) for some backyard fun. We started Saturday with just one small pool which proved ineffective for the Stanford's kid play...too many kids wrestling for room. The kids got an upgrade on Sunday and loved the extra room and there was no fighting which pleased Mommy and Daddy.
On Monday, Randy was asked to speak at the Adel Memorial Day service. He gave a nice speech and it was a nice service...complete with cookies for all. The kids were actually all as good as we could expect them to be.
After the service, we decide to go on a picnic to a park on the East Side of Des Moines. This was a park that Randy used to go to when he was little on visit to see his Grandma Rose. It has it all picnic tables, wading pool, carousel, and a rocket ship! The kids had a blast!
